Working on a Dark Surface Online Workshop

Have you ever tried calligraphy on dark-colored paper? Or perhaps you’ve tried lettering on holiday cards or wedding invitations when the envelopes are dark. It’s a little tricky, but it can yield very beautiful and dramatic results. Join this one-session workshop to learn a few tricks of the trade for working on a dark surface.

$50 plus supplies if needed. Register on this website or call (781) 740-9000. After you register, you will receive a separate email with log-in information for the workshop.

This workshop will be recorded and available for participant viewing for one week after the workshop.

Participants will need several sizes of broad-edged calligraphy pens, dark paper suitable for calligraphy, silver or gold gouache or ink, white pencil, ruler, tracing vellum, drafting tape, and any other calligraphy tools you’d like to use. Please contact us if you need supplies.
