Online – 3 Sessions – Tuesdays, November 1, 8, and 15, 2022, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., US Eastern time.
This three-session workshop will focus on completing a calligraphic piece featuring your favorite quote. You’ll be able to use several of the skills you may have learned in our previous workshops (“Communicating Through Color” and “Layout Essentials”). Participants will work through several layout possibilities in thumbnail form and select one to fine-tune. Working primarily in pencil we’ll determine spacing, x-height, lettering style(s) and other details. Group critique will aid participants in improving their layout. As a final project for the workshop, participants will complete their quote and we’ll have a “show and tell“ during the last gathering. For the quote, 100 words maximum is recommended for this workshop. If you’d like to find a new favorite quote, check out some of the authors listed here: https://www.brainyquote.com/authors.
After you register, you will receive a separate email with log-in information for the online sessions.
